Facilities Grounds Keeper

Job Description

Responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of a building or complex, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, weeding, planting flowers, removing debris, and operating landscaping equipment, ensuring the grounds are aesthetically pleasing and functional for daily use; they may also perform minor repairs to landscaping features and irrigation systems. PPE is required to be worn at all times.

We offer an integrated manufacturing process that delivers fabricated parts, in-house processing and complex assemblies for both fixed and rotary‑wing aircraft. We serve leading OEMs such as Boeing, Bell, and Northrop Grumman on key programs including CH‑47, V‑22, and E‑2. • Lawn Maintenance:
  Regular mowing, edging, and rimming of grass
• Lant Care:
  Planting, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, and dead hedging flowers, shrubs and trees
• Hedge Maintenance:
  Trimming and shaping hedges to maintain desired shape
• Tree Care: removing dead branches, pruning trees as needed and monitoring for disease
• Irrigation Management: operating and maintaining irrigation systems, including adjusting watering schedules
• Waste Removal: picking up litter and debris from grounds
• Seasonal Tasks: planting bulbs in fall, winterizing plants, and removing snow and ice as necessary
• Equipment Operation:
  Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment like mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edges
• Minor Repairs: fixing minor issues with fences, walkways and landscaping features
• Pest Control: applying appropriate pesticides and herbicides to manage pests and weed

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of plant identification and care practices
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, bending and lifting
• Attention to detail and aesthetic awareness
• Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to follow safety procedures to chemical machinery
• Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and flexible hours as required
• Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBS

Physical Requirements:

Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes.

Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
