Description
This team is seeking 2 Red Hat Linux Engineers to provide operations and engineering support related to a strategic UNIX platform modernization and automation projects. This person should have at least five to seven years of experience with Red Hat Linux v7x and perform higher level administrative/engineering tasks related to the following technologies: RHEL, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Solaris 10/11 with heavy automation experience (Experience with Ansible, especially supporting build automation and patch automation for RHEL and OEL).
This group handles the enterprise architecture design and planning for clients and utilities as well as tier 3 resolution for any new services that are implemented into the enterprise as well as supporting enterprise‑level projects that are required to support the business.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux v7, 8, 9 System Administration, PCS Clustering (Pacemaker/Corosync configuration experience) supporting project‑related efforts involving file‑system management, server availability, user administration
- Oracle Enterprise Linux Administration v.8/9
- Solaris Administration v.10 and 11 as well as storage administration (ZFS, Solaris LVM, RHEL LVM and Veritas)
- Practical scripting/automation experience:
Ansible, especially supporting build automation and patch automation for RHEL and Oracle Enterprise Linux
Skills & Qualifications
Hands‑on configuration experience is required. These consultants need to assert themselves and demonstrate initiative to deliver on work streams within ops and engineering. Additional differentiators: aspirations to manage all aspects of a technical team (coordination, prioritization, technology decisions, individual performance, financial).

This is a contract position based out of Joliet, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 – $75.00 per hour.
