Trucking Company Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a trucking company to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in transportation accounting, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of trucking‑related expenses and compliance.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process driver settlements, payroll, and fuel expenses
• Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and fuel cards
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Maintain accurate records for audits and tax preparation
• Work closely with dispatch and management to resolve billing issues
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper in a trucking or logistics company
• Experience with accounting software (Quick Books preferred)
• Strong Excel and data‑entry skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

• Experience with fleet accounting
• Understanding of DOT‑related financial compliance
• Bilingual (English/Russian/Uzbek) – a plus
