Job Details:

• 5 years of emergency room nursing experience required

• Travel experience required for this position

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Every other weekend requirement

• 3 weekend shifts per week coverage required

• Self-scheduling available

• 24-hour orientation provided

• Epic charting system experience required

• Trauma Level II experience required

• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Work in 12-bed emergency department with daily census of 50-70 patients

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (all must be AHA certified)

• Skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, arterial blood gas interpretation, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

• Valid California nursing license required at time of submission

• 7-year work history verification required

• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 1-5 hours)
