Job Details:

• 12-hour orientation required

• Patient ratios of 2:1 during days and nights

• Every other weekend requirement

• On call/call off based on census

• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg (floating to Med/Surg will be last resort)

• When floating to ER or Med/Surg, nurse/patient ratios will be 1:4-5

• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Daily census of 4-6 patients in a 6-bed unit with 9 rooms

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all must be AHA certified)

• BSN degree required

• California RN license required at time of submission

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

• 7-year work history verification required

• 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at lower rate)

• Only one holiday will be approved for time off

• Must complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 1-5 hours)

This healthcare facility operates a 6-bed intensive care unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The facility maintains modern medical equipment and provides critical care services to patients across all age groups with various complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and specialized nursing care.
