Underground Passages Visitor Guide
Reporting to the Underground Passages supervisor, tour guides are responsible delivering an experience that exceeds expectations, while also fulfilling many back‑of‑house and visitor facing support tasks.
As part of an established team, you will be expected to lead guided tours underground to visitors of all ages and nationalities. Health & Safety is of paramount importance to us, you will need to demonstrate that you are calm under pressure.
You will also assist in the selling of entry tickets, operating a retail function and developing the underground passages offer
Evening and week‑end working is essential, and you will need to act as a key holder within a 20 minute drive of the Underground Passages. Only applicants who can meet this requirement will be considered for the role.
You will be articulate and friendly and enjoy working in a busy, visitor‑facing environment. Energy, reliability and a keen interest in history and heritage are key qualities to bring to the role as you support the day‑to‑day running of the visitor attraction. You will also play a key role on keeping the building and collections safe, secure and welcoming for all our visitors.
