Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for an experienced Aircraft Cleaners to join a well-respected and successful client at Gatwick Airport. This job offers full time hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic conditions and facilities.

PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A FULL VALID UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE

• Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour - Increasing to £16.47 per hour after 12 months.
• Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (All shift patterns may be subject to change)
• Shift Time:
  08:00 to 20:00 or 09:00 to 21:00 or 10:00 to 22:00 - You must be fully flexible to work within these time frames.
• Weekly Pay.
• Temp to Perm (performance-based).

Important: This is a physically demanding role that includes extensive manual tasks such as bending, lifting, walking, and working in tight spaces.

• Consistently deliver the highest level of customer service to cabin crew and airline staff.
• Collect waste and recycling directly from aircraft, ensuring prompt and efficient removal.
• Carry out ad hoc cleaning tasks to support operational needs.
• Correctly segregate waste and cleaning materials in line with recycling and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure strict compliance with both airline and airport policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment at all times.
• Report any safety concerns, hazards, or irregularities immediately.

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work.

• Shift Time:

• Residency in the UK for the last 3 years or longer.
• Full Manual Driving Licence (Essential)
• Regular Driver in the UK (Essential) You will be driving a van and trailer around the airport.
• Previous cleaning experience. (Essential)
• Good attention to detail.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Five year fully checkable reference history to be completed prior to your start date.
• Clear UK Criminal Record Check (Ability to provide overseas Criminal Record Checks if applicable)

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
