The Role

We are seeking a Fire Door Engineer to deliver high-quality fire door inspections, maintenance and repairs. New installation of timber and steel fire door sets. You will ensure compliance with British Standards and regulatory requirements while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough fire door inspections and surveys in line with current legislation and guidance.
  • Carry out remedial works including adjustments, frame and hardware replacements, intumescent upgrades, and signage installation.
  • Produce detailed reports and certification that accurately reflect work completed via One Trace.
  • Maintain accurate service records on UpTick.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, site teams, and project managers.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in fire door inspection, maintenance or installation.
  • Knowledge of fire door standards including BS 8214, BS EN 1634 and associated guidance.
  • Ability to identify defects and undertake appropriate remedial actions.
  • Great communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence – travel to client sites required.
