BAM Facilities Management is recruiting a Premises Officer to join Thomas Bennett team, on a Crawley schools contract.
Shift pattern: 5am-1pm, 8am-4pm and 11am-7pm
This is a 6 month fixed term contract.
BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Making Possible
 
* Assist with maintenance duties to ensure the general upkeep and satisfactory condition of the premises.
 
* Supervise decoration programmes as agreed with the team
 
* Carry out minor improvement works as requested
 
* Make arrangements for responding to emergencies that occur outside normal working hours.
 
* Support the efficient operation of heating and boiler systems, including assisting with record‑keeping.
 
* Assist with weekly fire alarm testing.
 
* Undertake any other duties required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school.
 
* Supervise cleaning staff and redeploy them as needed to meet the needs of the school.
 
* Ensure buildings, walkways, playgrounds, car parks, fields, and gardens are clean, hygienic, and free from graffiti.
 
* Maintain a tidy external environment, ensuring litter removal, weed control, and gritting/salting of pathways in wintry conditions.
 
* Assist with moving furniture and equipment across the site.
 
* Support the receipt, distribution, collection, and dispatch of goods.
