About the Role:
Join a leading provider of intelligent mobility and fare‑collection technology delivering next-generation digital and software solutions for public transport. As a Project Planner
, you’ll be critical in planning and scheduling software and digital transformation initiatives—this is not a construction or engineering role.
What This Is Not:
- No construction, civil, engineering, facilities, or MEP-project experience required or desired — this role is purely focused on software/IT/digital transportation solutions.
- This role is NOT a Project Manager role, our client are looking for out and out Project Planners, this role will not be suitable for Project Managers.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
—from initiation through to delivery. - Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (software engineers, product, operations) to ensure on-track delivery of IT, SaaS, cloud migration, and digital transformation projects.
- Monitor project progress, analyze variance, and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Produce clear reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting risks, milestones, and dependencies.
- Maintain and update WBS and resource-loading metrics to optimize project flow.
- Support process improvement for planning across squads, including agile hybrid frameworks.
- Proven experience as a Project Planner
/
Project Scheduler or similar in a technology/IT/software delivery environment (software development, SDLC, digital transformation, SaaS). - Mandatory expertise in Primavera P6 (Oracle Primavera P6/P6).
- Strong understanding of modern project planning practices—knowledge of MS Project or integrated planning tools is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in schedule development
, resource and risk management
, and stakeholder communication. - Ability to manage multiple work streams and adjust plans in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communicator with strong analytical planning skills.
This is a pivotal planning role that directly supports the delivery of cutting-edge intelligent transportation solutions—such as account-based fare systems, real-time analytics platforms, and AI-enabled traffic management—helping redefine urban mobility. It also plays a core part in supporting local initiatives like the UK innovation centre in Redhill, working alongside academic institutions to drive AI and digital transformation in transportation.
What You’ll Need to Apply- CV highlighting Primavera P6 experience in IT/software project planning.
- Clear examples of planning or scheduling within digital or tech projects (e.g. cloud migration, application development, SaaS deployments).
- Availability for 4 days onsite per week in the Redhill/Crawley area.
- Immediate or near-immediate availability is ideal.
