  • You’ll be delivering employment law and HR advice and support to our clients and businesses across the country, covering a variety of sectors and industries
  • This could be a major stepping stone for your future career, as we’ll support your progression with training and qualifications
What you ll do

We’ll be looking to you to provide employment law, HR advice and guidance. You’ll also identify opportunities to meet the needs of your client through bespoke services, and you’ll generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, generating income through cross sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering legally compliant and practical advice via telephone, email and webchat
  • Providing prompt assistance and completing your work in a timely manner, keeping accurate records of the advice you’ve given
  • Contributing to the management and retention of Mentor’s portfolio
The skills you ll need

We’re looking for someone with the ability to deliver and advise on statutory processes and procedures, so good communication skills will be key. You’ll need to be able to build rapport over the phone, and be credible and persuasive. You’ll have proven administration and research skills and experience in a HR, employment law or health and safety role.

If you already have a qualification in employment law, HR or health and safety professional qualification, this would be an advantage, although this is not essential, as we ll support you to obtain this while in your role.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of providing basic employment law, HR and health and safety advice and a background of supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the ACAS code of practice on disciplinary, grievance and safety, health and environmental guidance
  • The ability to deal with clients from multiple channels and sectors
  • High standards of attention to detail and client service
