Financial Controller

Fast growing technology services business with a clear mandate to conduct M&A activity to drive inorganic growth requires a Financial Controller in a newly created position reporting to the CFO. Current revenue £3m with growth to £40m over 5 years.

The Financial Controller will take ownership of group accounting and reporting ensuring accurate monthly management accounts, manage statutory, tax and compliance obligations, provide commercial finance support and take the lead on post-acquisition finance integration processes.

• Own multi-entity month end close, group consolidations, revenue recognition and balance sheet control
• Partner with the CFO and business to deliver margin analysis, contract profitability, support pricing and general decision support activities
• Lead a current team of 2 staff which will grow as the company enacts its M&A agenda
• Lead payroll across group companies
• Lead on annual statutory accounts and external audit
• Play a central role in post-acquisition finance integration including systems, processes, reporting, VAT integration as examples.
• To support/lead on finance projects that enable the finance function to support efficiently a business that will see significant growth and change

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualified experience
• Experience with in a SaaS, technology or contracts orientated business useful but not essential
• Experience of group consolidations useful but not essential
• Willingness and desire to work in a changing business environment
• People management experience beneficial
• Strong excel skills essential and experience of Xero beneficial
