Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Timber Frame Designer to join our dynamic team on a part-time or full-time basis.
The primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality CAD designs for Domestic and Commercial timber frame buildings, ensuring they meet contract specifications, quality standards, and cost targets. You will primarily work in the latest version of AutoCAD, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to produce detailed designs for floor, wall, and roof panels. These designs will enable precise manufacturing in our factory using modern methods of construction.
At times, support the sales process by working with the Sales Manager to develop detailed customer enquiries, including site plans, floor plans, and 3D perspectives to aid visualization and enable precise project costing. Experience in using Revit would be beneficial. Knowledge of UK Building Regulations is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. Applicant to have strong knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drafting and Microsoft office applications for documentation.
Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in architectural software and design technologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
Build strong, collaborative working relationships across the business, fostering teamwork with office staff, customers, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.
