Join to undertake fire risk assessments in a wide range of premises, including complex and sleeping risk environments. Provide practical solutions and expert advice on onsite issues in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Building Safety Act 2022, relevant Approved Codes of Practice, and current fire safety guidance. Support the Head of Fire Safety through on-site workplace assessments of our consultants, contribute to quality assurance of fire risk assessments, and offer operational resilience when required.
You may also deliver fire safety training and, on occasion, support clients with general health and safety needs such as workplace inspections and audits.
You’ll have at least five years’ experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments, including in complex and sleeping risk premises, and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent. You’ll have experience with compartmentation and fire door surveys, and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and guidance including Approved Document B, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and BS 9999/9991.
Accreditation with IFE, IFSM, FRACS, or IFPO is essential. You will be detail-focused, and confident supporting both clients and fellow consultants. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role. Regional and national travel is required, so flexibility is a must. While health and safety qualifications and IOSH or IIRSM membership are desirable, they’re not essential.
Most importantly, we’re looking for you to thrive in and actively contribute to our amazing, collaborative team culture.
