The shop worker I, under direct supervision, will complete all tasks related to loading and unloading field trucks. The role maintains organization of supplies and the shop area to provide a clean and efficient working environment.

• Properly and safely verify quantities, load, and unload field trucks with required supplies for efficient work on jobs.
• Prepare and assemble signs, barricades and other equipment for job sites as needed.
• Repair and maintain signage and traffic control supplies to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Maintain a clean and orderly supply lot and shop work environment, returning tools and equipment to designated locations.
• Assist in other areas as needed to maintain the shop area by cleaning and organizing.
• Participate in other projects and initiatives that drive organizational goals and results.

• None

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 0–1 years of experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with the For Hire Endorsement (Indiana) or Class C license (Illinois) with an acceptable driving record.
• Maintain a company forklift license.

• Skilled with hand tools preferred.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and communicate instances where safety was not followed.
• Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work in a team‑fostered environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours, including weekends and/or evenings.
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast‑paced ever‑changing work environment.
• Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and retention of information to work efficiently.
