Location: Crawfordsville, IN
Company: Nucor Towers & Structures Inc (NTS), part of Nucor Corporation, the largest steel recycler and manufacturer in North America. NTS focuses on expanding into the power distribution market with a national footprint. Current facility is in West Hazleton, PA.
Position Overview: NTS seeks a Fitter Welder for its Third Shift to support the production team. The role will weld structural steel parts according to drawings, maintain quality and safety standards, and collaborate across departments.
BasicJob Functions:
- Weld structural steel parts per drawing or print.
- Produce a quality product while maintaining safety and housekeeping.
- Maintain and verify all welding certifications.
- Ensure correct welding of structural components with visual inspection.
- Work swing shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and defects.
- Knowledge of measuring devices (tape measure, gauges, micrometers).
- Ability to pass a 3G Weld Test within 30 days of hire.
- Familiarity with air arc gouging, plasma torch, and standard overhead crane operation.
