Overview

Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift, 3pm-11pm.

The Crawfordsville Distribution Center for Penguin Random House is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing organization.

• Perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities.
• Prior experience working in facility maintenance is essential.
• Read schematics and perform electrical construction; mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens or Allen Bradley) or other relative PLCs is desirable but not required.
• Additional experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.

• Candidates must have two or more years of relevant experience.
• Possess basic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting.

The starting wage for this position is typically at the minimum of $27.00 per hour, based on the individual’s skill set. There is potential to progress within the compensation structure in six-month intervals as skills, knowledge and abilities increase.

The regular shift hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm. This shift is eligible for an additional 12.5% shift differential. Availability of overtime is essential.
