We are conducting a confidential search for a Director to take full ownership of nationwide portal installations, technical support, maintenance, and warehouse operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who has built things, managed complex installations, and thrives bringing order to fast‑moving environments.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will oversee everything from construction‑style fit‑outs and technical installations to ongoing support and logistics. Each portal installation involves coordination of floor plans, electrical, AV/IT systems, and vendor management across multiple locations. This is a high‑impact role with the autonomy to build scalable systems.

  • Supervise 24/7 technical support operations, partnering with the IT team to resolve issues promptly
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, organization, and logistics
  • Drive process improvement and develop scalable operational systems to support rapid growth
  • Bring structure and accountability to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience leading construction, fit‑outs, or technical installations
  • Experience in entertainment, attractions, FECs, escape rooms, themed environments, or build‑outs with tech integration
  • Experience working internationally or coordinating with EU‑based teams
  • Experience with CAD software or reviewing CAD drawings
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (Asana, Monday, or similar)
  • Knowledge of lighting systems, networking basics, or fabrication workflows
  • Leadership experience managing mixed teams (internal staff + freelancers/contractors)
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and bring structure to ambiguous situations
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and contractors across locations
  • Strong project leadership background with demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and budgeting tools (Excel, Gantt charts, etc.)
  • General understanding of construction processes, AV/IT systems, and low‑voltage infrastructure
Soft Skills & Attributes
  • Ownership mentality and proactive mindset—you see problems and solve them without being asked
  • Strong, direct communication skills
  • Problem‑solving orientation; flexible and hands‑on
  • Ability to bring order and structure to a fast‑moving, sometimes chaotic environment
  • Collaborative approach; calm under pressure
Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Willingness to travel 40–50%
  • Must be able to commute daily to Rhode Island
  • Competitive salary up to $150,000, based on experience
  • Opportunity to shape and grow the operations function within a high‑growth company
