Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available in Providence, RI, serving students from Pre‑K through 12th grade. This contract‑to‑hire opportunity involves working closely with one school to support the academic and emotional needs of each student through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and testing for students across Pre‑K‑12.
- Interpret results and prepare detailed psychological reports for educators, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, diagnostic reviews, and planning sessions with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with staff to support students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Work under supervision provided by designated staff as needed.
- Rhode Island Certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification by the date of hire.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is required.
- Experience conducting evaluations and working within a school setting.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and educational teams.
- Ability to meet timelines for assessment and reporting.
