Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Full-Time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a confirmed long-term assignment from mid-September through December, covering a maternity leave in a third-grade classroom at an elementary school in Portsmouth, RI. • Supervision:
  Support provided through district-assigned staff, such as paraprofessionals or other aides

Required Qualifications:

• Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting preferred
• Strong commitment to student development and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school personnel
