AutoCAD Drafter

Ready to see your designs move from screen to shop floor? Staffmark is hiring a CAD Drafter for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing client. If you enjoy creating precise shop drawings and working closely with production teams, this role offers strong pay, steady hours, and long-term stability.

In this position, you'll collaborate with Designers, Architects, Project Managers, and Production teams to create detailed shop drawings for custom millwork, casework, decorative metal, and stone projects. Your drawings will directly support fabrication, installation, and overall project success.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create detailed CAD shop drawings to support fabrication and installation
• Work with Designers, Architects, General Contractors, and Project Managers to meet project specifications
• Calculate dimensions and verify measurements for individual job sites
• Detail production methods for custom millwork, casework, decorative metal, and stone
• Review sketches and construction methods with Production and Project Management teams
• Identify design or production issues and recommend improvements
• Ensure drawings meet quality standards, regulations, and project requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter or similar role
• Strong experience with 3D AutoCAD (2019 preferred) or similar 3D modeling software
• Excellent ability to read architectural drawings and specification books
• Knowledge of building materials and architectural standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Familiarity with optimization software (Ardis)
• CNC programming experience is a plus (Alpha Cam)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong math and measurement skills
