Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Cranston, Rhode Island, on a contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Quick Books and Excel, as well as experience in accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and tracking payments.

- Utilize Quick Books to record, organize, and reconcile financial data.

- Perform precise data entry to maintain up-to-date financial records.

- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Analyze and apply Excel formulas to generate accurate financial reports.

- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation.

- Support the accounting team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for financial management and reconciliation.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and logical functions.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Ability to process invoices efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration within the team.
