Salary:
From £31,350 PA (Plus a £1,000 joining bonus)
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:45am–4:45pm;
Tuesday: 8:45am–5:30pm;
Friday: 8:45am–4:30pm. Part-time working is available - with a minimum of 3 days to include Tuesdays and Fridays.
Annual Leave: 56 days school holiday + Bank holidays

As part of the Qualified Teaching team, you will support our autistic pupils using instruction based on behaviour analysis and positive reinforcement techniques to accelerate learning. Working within small class groups or on a 1:1 basis, you will use specialised support plans to help pupils meet their individual needs and achieve their full potential. You will also be responsible for designing, planning and delivering wider school curriculum and special events that encourage development, enhance learning and provides unique opportunities to our pupils.
Howdo Qualified Teachers contribute to the team?
- Provide support and teaching based on behaviour analysis to autistic pupils
- Collect, record and analyse data to monitor progress and develop support plans
- Interact and participate with the pupils in the development of skills that support their social and emotional development
- Lead and take part in educational visits and off-site activities with pupils (during school hours)
- Contribute to the design of an engaging school curriculum, providing differentiated long, medium and short-term plans
- Plan and deliver school-wide curriculum activities such as topic lessons and themed event/weeks
- Oversee the implementation and evaluations of wider school curriculum plan
- Support the delivery of life skills programmes and entry level qualifications for students, including assessments, recording evidence and internal moderation
- Contribute to team meetings and the schools newsletter

- Teaching experience within the UK school system and an understanding of the National Curriculum in England
- An interest in and/or experience of working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Confident working with children who exhibit behaviours that challenge and supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with all stakeholders
