We have an opening for a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at our Kaye OB/GYN practice in Cranford, NJ.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm with two night closings and NO WEEKENDS. Monday 8:00–5:30;
Tuesday 8:30–5:00;
Wednesday 9:00–CLOSE;
Thursday 9:00–CLOSE;
Friday 9:00–2:00.

Per the guidance of Axia Women’s Health patient protocol and care center physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) engages Axia Women’s Health patients by assisting with patient care, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully utilize our clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods; according to infection control protocols, prepare exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, clean rooms, set up instruments and equipment, and maintain and clean sterilizer according to the scheduled maintenance program.
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with walking transfers or dressing as needed.
  • Maintain patient records by accurately recording medical history, obtaining and recording vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications; obtain and scan lab or imaging reports, and hospital notes into the EMR to provide complete patient information to the provider.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens as needed.
  • Assist the provider with various procedures and screenings.
  • Relay instructions and pertinent information to patients.
  • Complete forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and claims can be properly billed.
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to independently obtain patient vital signs.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with teams across the business to maximize impact of the overall effort.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and at satellite locations, where applicable, as needed.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program.
  • Current national certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented medical assistant internship.
  • OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred.
  • eClinical

    Works (EMR) experience beneficial.

Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $23 USD

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
