Description: Psychology & English Teacher – Grades 10‑12

Location: Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook, BC

Contract Type: Full‑time Temporary (1.0 FTE)

Salary Range: $63,357 – $111,802 annually; placement based on length of service and qualifications per the collective agreement.

Pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers’ Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Job Summary: 1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting January 27 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25 2026. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Psychology and English at the Secondary level. The position is scheduled for 1 semester block of Psychology 11, 2 semester blocks of Psychology 12 and 1 semester block of Composition 10. All work will be on‑site.

Qualification Priorities:

  • BC Teacher Certification preferred.
  • Degree or formal training and/or teaching experience in the required subjects at the secondary level.

Additional Information:

  • Continuing teachers must vacate their continuing assignment to accept the temporary assignment unless the FTE is greater in the temporary posting.
