Career Education & Entrepreneurship Teacher, Grades 10 & 12

Posting Number: T - Round 1

Location: Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook, BC

Contract Type: Part‑time Temporary (0.857 FTE)

Start Date: January 27, 2026 (or upon completion of the posting process)

Salary Range: $54,296 to $95,814 annually, based on length of service and qualifications.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Role Summary

This temporary contract will cover 2 semester blocks of Career Life Connections 12 and 1 semester block of Entrepreneurship 10. All work will be on site.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for Career Life Connections 12 and Entrepreneurship 10.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student learning.
  • Maintain accurate student records and complete required documentation.
  • Adhere to district policies and regulations.
Qualifications
  • BC Teacher certification or preference for applicants with certification.
  • Degree, formal training, and/or teaching experience in Business Courses and Career Education at the secondary level.
  • Ability to teach grades 10 & 12.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
