The Opportunity

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time (1.00 FTE)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 pm – 5:00 pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our Corporate Head Office Financial Operations team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on accounting experience while working in a supportive, collaborative team environment.
What You’ll Do
This role supports the Financial Operations team by assisting with outstanding tasks and helping ensure the efficient and accurate operation of financial processes. It is well suited for someone who is passionate about accounting and eager to contribute within a collaborative team environment.
- Assist with data entry and validation of accounts payable transactions.
- Process rent batches and manage resident accounts receivable transactions.
- Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous experience with performing data entry within an accounting department.
- Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Quick Books & or Great Plains accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset.
- Experience working within a Seniors Housing or similar Residential Tenancy environment is considered an asset.
- Strong ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and prioritize work.
- Effective customer service, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative to complete work in the absence of direct supervision and constant direction.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check;
