Senior Software Engineer - Backend Leeds - 2x a week Salary:
Up to £70k D.O.E  Benefits Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a Backend Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture and technical direction of new projects alongside being deeply hands on. You will be responsible for working on backend services, focusing on platform engineering and building CI/CD pipelines.

You will be developing in Node.js and Typescript, and will have a strong focus on AWS Services, such as EKS, Dynamo DB and S3. What will I be doing? Own and evolve the backend architecture for a large-scale software platform. Working across multiple teams to ensure alignment and scalability throughout the business. Set technical direction and contribute to key design decisions across teams.

Lead by example, writing high-quality, maintainable code in Node.js and Type Script. Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, improving automation, observability, and release processes. Collaborate cross-functionally with product and platform teams to deliver robust services. Mentor and coach engineers, helping to raise the overall bar for backend development. Drive best practices in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and API design.

Key requirements:

5 years' experience in backend or platform engineering roles, with recent experience at senior Level. Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js and Type Script in production environments. Strong experience designing and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs. Proven experience with AWS (EKS, Dynamo

DB, S3, Lambda, Terraform). Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops principles, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience leading or influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
