Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will work across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes to provide personalised care that recognises residents as individuals with their own stories. You will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those you care for.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement care to give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
- Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, acting as a positive influence on the team.
- Support residents in daily activities, including assisting with meals and helping with mobility aids as needed.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication where required.
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered and build strong relationships with the team.
- Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.
- Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Excellent record-keeping, time-management and communication skills. A positive energy and ability to get along with people are essential.
