Job DescriptionThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering activities and driving improvements across manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of engineers and technicians.
- Driving a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Designing and optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Managing capital expenditure projects from concept through installation and validation.
- Ensuring compliance with quality systems, ISO standards and health & safety requirements.
- Collaborating with production, quality and supply chain teams to support product introduction and volume manufacture.
- Monitoring and reporting performance metrics, identifying trends and improvement actions.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will act as a technical authority, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on engineering support.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will ideally demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience delivering capital projects and process improvements.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical ability with a results‑driven mindset.
