Seghill, Cramlington (NE23) Supporting children aged 7–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties

Are you an experienced and passionate Residential Childcare Practitioner ready to take the next step in your career? • Provide high-quality, consistent care and support to children aged 7 to 17
• Work closely with your team to create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment
• Support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
• Promote positive routines, independence, and emotional well-being
• Be a positive role model and help young people thrive

• Hours
  : 8am – 8pm shifts
• Contract Options
  : 36, 40 or 48 hours per week
• Sleep-ins
  : 8–10 per month (as per rota)
• Hourly Rate
  : £14.50
• Sleep-in Rate
  : £52 per night
  Overtime and additional shifts available

• Operates 5 to 10 homes across the North East and North West
• Offers a wraparound approach with residential care, therapeutic support, supported living, and education
• Holds Good Ofsted ratings across all homes, with a strong focus on achieving Outstanding
• Currently expanding to support even more young people across the region

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised Level 3 qualification)

• Experience working in residential childcare or a related field

• Full UK driving licence

• Minimum age: 21 (in line with Ofsted requirements)

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children with complex emotional needs

• A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach
