Senior Software Engineer | Remote | Django | SaaS

📍 UK Remote (Quarterly team meet‑ups)

💰 £60,000-£70,000 (DOE)

• Authentication methods - OAuth2, JWT, API keys

SR2 are partnering with a growing SaaS platform used by organisations across global markets. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong API integration experience to help expand and scale their platform.

This is a backend focused role where you will design and build integrations that connect the platform with a wide range of external systems, while helping evolve both their public API and internal integration framework.

You will join a lean engineering team with strong ownership, where engineers influence architecture, standards and product delivery.

• Build and maintain third‑party integrations with external platforms
• Develop and improve RESTful APIs using Python and Django
• Extend the internal integrations framework to support faster delivery
• Design reliable, scalable backend systems across distributed environments
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to shape technical solutions
• Write clean, well‑tested code and clear technical documentation
• Contribute to backend architecture and engineering standards

• Strong commercial experience with Python and Django
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integrations
• Experience working with authentication methods such as OAuth2, JWT or API keys
• Familiarity with webhooks and event‑driven systems
• Strong relational database experience
• Experience working in agile engineering teams
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills
