Role Purpose
We are seeking an elite Security Operations Manager with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience . This pivotal role requires a leader who is as comfortable managing "grassroots" frontline teams as they are engaging in high-level corporate and client consultations. You will be the primary subject matter expert on all SIA (Security Industry Authority) standards , ensuring 100% compliance across all operational and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary security workforce, from frontline officers to supervisors, ensuring a high-performance, pro-security culture. - Strategic Client Engagement:
Act as the lead advisor for corporate clients, translating complex security risks into actionable business recommendations and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. - SIA & Regulatory Compliance:
Overhaul and maintain all Assignment Instructions (AIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect current SIA regulations, GDPR, and Health & Safety legislation. - Problem Solving & Incident Management:
Lead the response to critical incidents, conducting thorough "hot debriefs" and post-incident investigations to mitigate future risks. - Budgetary Oversight:
Manage security budgets effectively, identifying cost‑saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality standards.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Tenure:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the UK/Northern Ireland Security Industry. - Regulatory Expertise:
Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of the SIA Private Security Industry Act 2001 and associated licensing requirements. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to present detailed security audits to board-level executives. - Organisation:
Highly organised with a proven ability to manage complex rotas, multi-site operations, and competing priorities.
Desired Skills
- Advanced problem‑solving skills with a "can‑do" attitude.
- Experience with advanced security tech (AI‑integrated CCTV, access control, and incident management software).
- Management qualifications (e.g., ILM Level 5 or CMI) or professional security memberships (e.g., ASIS, Security Institute).
