We are currently recruiting for a Factory QA Manager to join a site which produce ‘best in class’. This site is a fast paced, dynamic and ‘no two days the same’ environment; making it a great place to work.

You will be responsible for safety, quality and legality of products manufactured on site to agreed quality specifications and standards and delivery of agreed departmental plans as determined by the Technical Manager.

You will plan, manage, and deploy resources within the Quality function to optimum advantage in order that departmental costs are kept under control or reduced, whilst operating to a plan of continuous improvement. You will be a member of management team, responsible for leading the Quality function across 2 factories as part of the wider Technical department and reporting to the Technical Manager.

You will have key interactions primarily with Production/Operations but also with all other internal disciplines.

You will also build strong connections with our customers and external agencies e.g., Trading Standards, Environmental Health, external contractors.

• Minimum HND (or equivalent) in Food Technology related discipline.
• Advanced Food Safety Certificate.
• Intermediate HACCP qualification.
• Prior experience in a Quality Manager role.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred, even better if chilled food production
• Demonstrable people management experience and skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
