Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with three vibrant and inclusive specialist SEN schools based in Cardiff. The three schools have a strong community ethos and are dedicated to ensuring every child can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. The schools range in ages, providing support for pupils between the ages of 3‑19, so being flexible to work across age groups is essential.

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils with a range of additional needs to access learning and succeed in school. This may include supporting pupils with:

• Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
• Speech, language, and communication needs
• Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Physical or sensory needs
• Cognitive and severe learning difficulties

Your responsibilities as an SEN support assistant will include:

• Providing support in a 1:1 or small group setting
• Implementing tailored learning and support programmes
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and differentiation
• Supporting pupils to develop independence and confidence
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Liaising with teachers, families, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
