History Teacher – Drive Academic Historical Learning Across KS3/4 Curriculum – Guernsey

Guernsey is seeking an engaging and dedicated History Teacher to join its supportive Humanities Faculty from January 2026, with a focus on raising academic standards.

• History Teacher required from January 2026.
• Guernsey-based school (Channel Islands) with a focus on student well-being.
• Seeking a passionate teacher to drive KS3/4 History and critical analysis

You will teach History across KS3 and KS4, focusing on developing students' critical reading, analysis, and extended writing skills necessary for GCSE success and beyond. There is scope to contribute to the school's whole-school literacy strategy

• Qualified Teacher Status (
  QTS
  ) and a relevant History or related degree.
• Proven success in teaching challenging texts and maximizing progress at GCSE level.
• Strong skills in developing academic essay writing and historical event

• Commitment to promoting a culture of reading for pleasure across the school.
