An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Localities. We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of service users in the local communities. You will be a people person who is passionate about supporting our service users to maximise their independence, to remain living in their own homes.

- Travel across the wider Fife area; a vehicle may be provided. If you use your own vehicle, travel expenses will be paid – 45 per mile.

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with service users and their families.
- Ability to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the delivery of care and support.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and the ability to put these into practice.
- Hold or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by the Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration. Once achieved, it is the person’s responsibility to inform SSSC timeously.
- You are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the person’s responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. The successful applicant will have three months to apply for SSSC registration and start your application as soon as possible to be registered within the required six months.
