Infection Prevention Lead Nurse – Vale Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full time. Includes weekend work. Up to £46, depending on experience. 37.5 hours per week. Alongside our Matron, you'll take care of the day-to-day management of Infection Prevention and Control at hospital in Leamington.

- Liaise with the lead microbiologist and support the Matron as the DIPC
- Manage the infection prevention audit schedule and lead our infection prevention link team
- Produce an annual Infection Prevention programme and train the clinical and non‑clinical team
- Facilitate the quality assurance review and produce the annual infection prevention report
- Assist with policy development, carrying out action plans and improving best practice
- Support clinical governance in the hospital

As an Infection Prevention Lead Nurse at our Vale Hospital you will be registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including the NMC. With post‑registration experience (at least two years in infection prevention and control), you will be able to carry out investigations and root‑cause analysis, as well as advise the clinical team. Your key responsibilities include:

Person specification Qualifications- Registered with the appropriate governing body, holding relevant qualifications and experience, including the NMC.
- At least two years of post‑registration experience in infection prevention and control, with ability to carry out investigations and root‑cause analysis and advise the clinical team.
