Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T‑Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They immerse themselves in significant connections with our customers, building new and deepening existing relationships. The role requires learning and building skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert.

As a Mobile Associate, successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class customer experience and loyalty.
  • Help customers pick up where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in‑store.
  • Explore individual needs and provide hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology in‑store.
  • Side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond a bare‑bones device and service plan, including accessories and cutting‑edge IoT devices.
  • Approach service and sales needs with composure, integrity and compassion.
  • Consistently use digital tools to demonstrate coverage, network quality and the value of T‑Mobile plans.
  • Complete training on in‑store experience, new skills and processes, knowledge of systems and reference resources.
  • Use shift time effectively, learning about innovations in wireless and technology.
  • Establish relationships with and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels, collectively owning the customer experience and resolving issues.
  • Identify and handoff small‑business leads.
  • Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required)
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun (Required)
  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, sharing ideas and providing resolutions (Required)
  • Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
Travel

No travel required.

Safety and DOT Regulation

Not a DOT regulated or safety sensitive position.

Hourly Base Pay

$17.50 per hour, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and training pay. After completion, promotion to Mobile Expert with annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year.
