Summary of the Job: The Hospitalist provides care for hospitalized adult, general medical patients as the admitting or consulting physician.

Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO degree, Board Certification in appropriate specialty, experience in hospitalized patient care, licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, and membership in good standing of the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Medical Staff.

Physical Demands: Good physical health required. Includes standing, sitting, walking for long periods, lifting at least 20 pounds, and working in a moderate noise environment.

Physical Effort: Constant handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing; frequent reaching; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching.
