Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Substation Construction Manager to lead and oversee a substation project for a large data center. This long-term project, located between Rayville and Delhi, LA, is expected to span multiple years. The Construction Manager will be pivotal in driving subcontractor performance, ensuring overall production quality, and managing a team of up to 25 people.

Responsibilities

* Drive subcontractor performance to meet project goals.

* Lead crews in the construction of a substation.

* Ensure overall production and quality of the job and team.

* Oversee company projects during the construction and commissioning phases.

* Execute construction subcontractor work in accordance with safety, quality, and contract standards.

* Manage change, risk, and schedule requirements effectively.

* Communicate with project teams and stakeholders through standardized reporting and construction meetings.

Essential Skills

* Substation Construction Management experience.

* Distribution Construction Management experience.

* Strong computer and reporting skills.

* Proficiency in construction document management.

* Experience in QA/QC processes.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with Entergy projects is a plus.

* Knowledge in construction, project management, transmission, and safety.

Work Environment

This role involves a field-based work environment, coordinating subcontractor crews for a project expected to last over 2+ years. Standard work hours include a minimum of 10-hour days for 5-6 days a week, with a 50-hour base work week. Per diem is provided for 7 days. The company offers holidays and PTO. With a growing footprint within Entergy and other utilities, future project work is a viable option based on performance.

The company has secured several projects through 2025 and 2026, indicating a strong backlog and job stability.

This is a Contract position based out of Covington, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
