Service Technician

Location: Paretti Mazda

Paretti Mazda is seeking a dependable and skilled Service Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, safety, and the overall reputation of the Paretti brand.

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using visual inspections and diagnostic equipment

• Perform repairs and replacements on vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, and cooling systems

• Use computer diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues accurately

• Conduct test drives before and after repairs to ensure proper operation

• Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Follow dealership procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications

• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to Service Advisors and management

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

• Ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems efficiently

• Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and repair software

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and work orders

• Time-management skills with the ability to meet productivity standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred

• ASE certifications preferred but not required

• Mazda certification a plus (training provided)

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach as required to perform repairs

• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, noisy shop environment
