Overview
Entry Level Automotive Technician – Covington, LA. Goodyear owns and operates more than 580 tire and auto service centers nationwide. As an Entry Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by learning how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities- Perform basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, filters replacements, tire repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Learn and work with mid and senior level automotive technicians to expand service capabilities.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service by clearly communicating with customers about vehicle needs and status.
- Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations and maintain high standards of vehicle care.
- Maintain strict adherence to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
- Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no company sponsorship required now or in the future).
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
- Commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry.
- Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
- Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED; previous automotive preventive maintenance experience or formal automotive training.
- Hands-on training in basic automotive services and opportunities to learn from experienced technicians.
