Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, conducting electrical and mechanical repairs, and maintaining accurate records in our maintenance management system. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing various systems and machinery will be essential in supporting our operations and production departments.
Responsibilities- Complete preventative maintenance and organize maintenance practices.
- Perform operational maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Enter all work performed into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Conduct electrical repairs on 480v, 220v, and 110v AC/DC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace bearings, cylinders, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform MIG welding tasks.
- Assist Blade Tech with setup and repairs.
- Support the operations department with equipment and production issues.
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting using power tools and hand tools.
- Perform maintenance and repair on packaging machines.

Skills & Qualifications
- At least 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and perform repairs.
- MIG welding proficiency.
- Military experience in mechanical or electrical fields is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, and maintenance software for creating work orders and repair parts lists.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves the cleaning, rinsing, cutting, and distribution of produce in a cold and wet facility. The temperature ranges from 34-40 degrees, and there are wet floors due to continuous sanitation processes. The use of chlorine and citric acid for cleaning results in a strong odor, so it is important to consider any potential allergies to chlorine.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
