Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Safety Manager in Covington, KY area! The candidate will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of safety programs across Supply Chain divisions. This role ensures compliance with federal and state OSHA regulations, drives injury prevention initiatives, and partners with legal and operational teams to protect our people and our business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain OSHA safety plans, site-level worksheets, and compliance programs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on OSHA regulations, investigations, citations, and compliance questions.
- Monitor changes in federal and state safety regulations and update programs accordingly.
- Partner with corporate and third-party legal teams on OSHA matters and strategy.
- Lead internal safety audits to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness across all sites.
- Oversee onboarding and training programs for new site safety managers.
- Provide guidance on safety materials, awareness events, and training initiatives.
- Represent the company during OSHA hearings, inspections, and citation responses.
- Validate compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable standards in all training programs.
- Oversee safety metrics and KPIs, including OSHA incident rates and lost-time reports.
- Manage annual BLS Injuries, Illnesses, and Fatalities (IIF) survey.
- Supervise and coach direct reports, providing feedback and development opportunities.
- Travel to sites for training, audits, and hearings as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience leading multi-state OSHA compliance programs.
- 5+ years of experience in injury prevention and/or claims management.
- Experience developing enterprise training programs tailored to role-specific needs.
- Strong background in training, leadership development, and facilitation.
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour course (or willingness to complete).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
