A Permit Agent is responsible for coordinating, processing, and managing permit applications to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role acts as a liaison between internal departments, clients, and regulatory agencies.

• Review and process permit applications for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate approval workflows with internal teams and government agencies.
• Maintain detailed permit tracking records, status updates, fees, and renewal dates.
• Prepare documentation for hearings, inspections, and audits.
• Facilitate resolution of compliance issues and inspection findings.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agency personnel.
• Maintain a strong understanding of permitting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Exhibit excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Interpret technical documents and regulatory codes.
• Use permitting software and Microsoft Office proficiently.

• Experience in permitting required.
• Experience with RULIS (Right-of-Way Leasing Information Systems) preferred.
• Detail‑oriented and accurate.
• Ability to work well under deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with teams and outside agencies.
• Capable of explaining complex regulations clearly.
