Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading‑class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.
WorkYou'll Do
- Interpret and apply FIAR guidance (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness): advise teams on assertion‑based testing, internal control requirements, documentation standards, and how to meet audit readiness criteria.
- Evaluate and improve internal controls over financial reporting (e.g., walkthroughs, control design/operating effectiveness assessments, gap identification, remediation recommendations, retesting).
- Review and quality‑check deliverables
: process narratives, flowcharts, risk‑and‑control matrices (RCMs), test plans, samples, work papers, and corrective action plans to ensure they are audit‑defensible. - Coordinate with stakeholders (finance, system owners, process owners, and auditors): clarify PBC (provided‑by‑client) requests, resolve questions, track issues, and communicate status/risks.
- Support FIAR execution management
: maintain issue logs, monitor remediation progress and milestones, help prioritize fixes, and elevate emerging risks (e.g., evidence gaps, system constraints, inconsistent procedures).

QualificationsRequired:
- Master's Degree
- Secret Clearance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future BQ's
- 8+ years experience in federal financial management and audit remediation
- 3+ years experience leading audit response activities for government stakeholders
- 3+ years experience developing Power BI dashboards
- Willingness to work on‑site in Dayton, OH up to 5 days per week
