The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities within a manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with plant leadership and operations teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting while supporting overall plant performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead plant accounting functions, including cost analysis, inventory valuation, and month-end close processes.
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations leadership to monitor labor, overhead, and material costs, providing actionable financial insights.
  • Manage and maintain standard costing processes and ERP systems to ensure accurate overhead allocation, COGS reporting, and inventory accounting.
  • Oversee inventory control procedures, including cycle counts, lot tracking, and reorder point management to maintain accuracy and optimize working capital.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning by integrating operational and financial data.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and plant-level financial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with plant management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems and standard cost/inventory modules.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
