The Sterilization Maintenance Technician maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sterilization equipment of BD’s sterilization facilities. The role supports critical utilities such as steam boilers, hot water, chiller, and nitrogen systems, and coordinates maintenance activities with contractors and internal teams.

• Maintain, install, repair, start‑up/commission, operate, and troubleshoot critical utilities and systems related to sterilization equipment and support systems including steam boilers, hot water, chiller, and nitrogen system.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the Sterilization building HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems.
• Manage outside contractors during specialized projects and routine services regarding sterilization equipment and support systems.
• Provide expertise in continuous improvement, quality improvement, and cost‑reduction efforts related to sterilization equipment, processes, support systems, and functions; coordinate annual equipment requalification.
• Assess spare‑part inventories to ensure adequate supply on hand.
• Perform calibration duties as required.
• Participate on the sterilization Emergency Response Team.
• Work overtime, flexible hours, and be on call to handle after‑hours and weekend repair calls.
• Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations and quality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Skilled trade certificate/journeyman’s license or 2-5 years of experience in a related maintenance area.

Location:

Covington, GA. The position requires a minimum of four days of in‑office presence per week.
