View Point Healths GRAN Recovery Center is a 28‑day Intensive Residential Addiction treatment program located in Covington, GA. With an emphasis on maintaining a positive therapeutic community, the program focuses on promoting abstinence from substance use, shifting from addictive behaviors, and effecting change in lifestyle, attitudes, and values. We are looking for a Charge Nurse to join our multi‑disciplinary team to be responsible for implementing and monitoring nursing services in the GRAN Recovery Center (ASAM 3.5) SUD treatment program and overseeing the integration and execution of MAT services for other View Point Health residential SUD treatment programs.

Nurses will implement nursing care in accordance with program procedures approved by the Chief Nursing Officer.

Will oversee, assist with guiding, and/or instructing the work assignments of subordinate staff. Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a unit or shift. Ensure that staff assess client health problems and needs. Under broad supervision, assess client health problems and needs. Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.

May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the nursing team and ensuring excellent care is provided to all clients. Implement and supervise nursing services at GRAN Recovery Center, overseeing daily operations in the 32‑bed facility serving both male and female clients. Facilitate the integration, implementation, and execution of MAT services at GRAN Recovery Center and SA Residential. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, discipline leads, and other professionals to provide support and coverage for MAT services as necessary.

Ensure compliance with quality measures related to nursing services, including treatment plans, medication management, authorizations, and timely assessments in accordance with DBHDD standards. Create and refresh workflow processes and standard operating procedures to ensure program needs are met and state regulatory compliance is maintained. Conduct routine chart audits related to nursing services and MAT documentation to maintain accurate client records.

Complete all required documentation for intakes, admissions, daily progress notes, and discharges, ensuring accuracy in medication administration records. Ensure that medical supplies are consistently stocked on the unit, with proper monitoring of inventory and medication levels. Facilitate routine nursing meetings, including preparing meeting minutes, focusing on MAT integration updates and clinical care processes. Manage the monthly nursing schedule, addressing staffing issues, managing call‑outs, and ensuring adequate coverage for nursing services.

Assist with interviews and hiring of new staff, including orienting and training new nurses on MAT protocols and ensuring they are integrated into the team. Facilitate skills and education groups on health/nursing‑related topics, including MAT education for clients and staff. Ensure education and training of designated staff who will supervise the self‑administration of buprenorphine, including:
Developing training materials and sessions on buprenorphine self‑administration protocols. Providing ongoing support and resources for staff to enhance competency in supervising self‑administration. Evaluating staff performance and understanding of buprenorphine protocols and making recommendations for improvement.
